Wrap Up of the Event

The final of the Junior teams was won by China.

They carried their excellent round-robin 2 form into the final and, after a 67 to 7 imp first segment lead, the contest was never really in doubt.

Congratulations to the Chinese team.

 

During the two round-robin stages, there was a very good result for Australia in the datums.

 

Andrew Spooner and Tomer Libman were first in the datums in the first round-robin. Then in the second round-robin, they were in the top quarter of the field as well. A good effort from this young partnership.

 

While the final was being played on Wednesday, there was a Swiss IMP Pairs for the players not contesting the final.

There is always a little randomness in this sort of event as it depends, to some extent, who you play at what time.

However, all three pairs performed well.
