Introduction to APBF Youth

The APBF Youth Teams Championships will be held in the Montien Hotel Bangkok. The Montien Hotel is a 5-star hotel located right in the heart of Bangkok's commercial district for shopping, entertainment or business. It is conveniently located only minutes away from a sky train station, an underground station and a major railway station. It is also close to some of the major tourist attractions in Bangkok including China Town, The Grand Palace and The River of King, the Chao Praya river and Lumpini Park. Across the road from the entrance is the Patpong Night Market which is a great place to purchase gifts and it also the main ‘girlie’ nightclub scene for tourists (thank goodness the boys will be engrossed in the tournament).

The very popular APBF President Khunying Chodchoy (Esther) Sophonpanich has a controlling interest in this hotel. She conveniently makes the hotel available for bridge related activities whenever Thailand hosts an event.

The Opening Ceremony will be held at 19:00 on Thursday 4 April 2019. The Victory Dinner & Prize Presentation will be on Thursday 11 April 2019 at 19:30. It is my experience that the entertainment on the final day will be of the highest quality.
