DICK CUMMINGS OPEN PAIRS

This event drew a mammoth field of 128 pairs.

Second were: Phil Markey and Ben Thompson

This event is sponsored by Paul Lavings Bridge Books and Supplies who donated book vouchers to both pairs.  Paul presented the prizes. 

TED CHADWICK RESTRICTED PAIRS

36 pairs, again well up on 2015, contested the Ted Chadwick Restricted Pairs.  Marilyn Chadwick presented the prizes.  The winners and runners up were recipients of free entry to the Tasmanian Festival of Bridge next year.  The third placegetters received vouchers from Paul Lavings Bridge Books and Supplies.

The winners were: Jenny Delany and Susan Laurenson, visitors from New Zealand

Denis Kristanda and Terry Dunne were second, with Alex Penklis and Rob Ward third

NOVICE PAIRS

24 pairs took part in the Spring National Novice Pairs title which was for those players with fewer than 100 masterpoints.

The winners were: Bevin Brooks and Ingrid Cooke, with Ken Cahill and Paul Roach second and  John Russell and Judy Parsons third.

All three pairs were awarded vouchers redeemable at Paul Lavings Bridge Books and Supplies, and first and second also received 12 month subscriptions to Australian Bridge -  Novice Edition.
