End of the Round Robin

After the end of the round robin, Australia had fared fairly well.

In the Open (Men) category, Australia just missed out on a top 4 placing.

The qualifying positions were

1st China who won the corresponding event last year

2nd India B I hope this does not cause friction with India A but India have a lot of talented players

3rd China Hong Kong who have had a relatively stable team for several years and are always competitive

4th China Training obviously the training is going well (huge depth in China now as well)

In the Women's category, Australia did very well

The qualifying positions were

1st China Taipei who beat Australia in the last match to pinch top spot just

2nd Australia who were consistently well placed throughout

3rd China who are the perennial favourites but had to settle behind two others in qualifying

4th India B who beat Pakistan in the last round to qualify which would have pleased the locals

In the Mixed teams category, Australia did really well

The qualifying positions were

1st Australia who won a close final match to pinch first spot from India A

2nd India A

3rd China Taipei A

4th Thailand

In the Seniors category, Australia finished a little disappointing 6th

The qualifying positions were

1st China who won the corresponding event last year

2nd India B again out pointing an India A team

3rd China Taipei A again a consistent performer

4th China Hong Kong another consistent performer
