The open had possibly their best day yet. A small loss 9.09 to India, followed by wins against Chinese Taipei by 19.69, and New Zealand by 15.38, moving them back into 8th place.
However Friday beckons as crunch time, with the Netherlands 4th, Sweden 2nd, and Italy 7th.
The women had a day which somewhat followed the script. They lost to Poland 1.23, rebounded with a win over Egypt 16.26, followed by a slightly disappointing small loss to Chinese Taipei 9.09. This leaves them 9th, about 12vps behind 8th.
Friday they play Morocco 19th, Sweden 1st, and Brazil 15th.
Three results where we could have expected to get more, a win 13.28 against Guadaloupe, then losses against Japan 3.27, and Israel 8.52, to leave them in 5th place, still over 12vps in front of 9th.
Today will be an opportunity to rebound with India 15th, Turkey 11th, and Poland 12th.
No BBO schedule yet. I will post it when it becomes available.
