Format

Qualifying

Format: 8 x 12-board Swiss
Session times: (AEDT) 12 noon, 1.30 pm, 3.30pm, 5.00pm
Top eight teams qualify to the Finals Series.
Non-qualifiers may contest the Consolation Swiss Pairs.

Entries will be accepted from teams of up to 8 players.

Each Australian resident entrant must be a financial member of the ABF Masterpoint Scheme and of an organisation affiliated to the ABF or to an Australian State Bridge Association. Overseas players become honorary members of the Foreign Players Club.

Finals Series

To be eligible to play in the Finals Series, a player must have played in at least 2 matches in the Qualifying Stage.

Quarter-Finals – 2 x 12-board stanzas
Semi-Finals – 2 x 12-board stanzas
December 6
Final – 4 x 12-board stanzas

Consolation Swiss Pairs

December 5
6 rounds of 8 board matches, commencing at 12 noon (AEDT)
All players who entered the event but failed to qualify are invited to play.
New entrants and substitutes will not be permitted.
Red masterpoints will be awarded at Grade B4.

Cost

$A220.00 per team

No additional fees for the second weekend.

RealBridge

The ABF Online Teams 2020 will be held on RealBridge, an online platform with access to your camera and microphone allowing you to see and talk to the people at your table. It is essential that you perform a Camera and Microphone test in advance.

Short practice sessions will be available before the event to enable players to get experience on the platform.
