Seniors to Singapore

Senior Team for Singapore

In December last year, seven Seniors Teams competed for the right to represent Australia. At the end of the 6-day event the winners were Avi Kanetkar and Bruce Neill, Pauline Gumby and Warren Lazer, and Andy Braithwaite playing with Arjuna De Livera. The team selected Ian Thomson to be their non-playing Captain. The team is pictured at the end of the event.

The Seniors category at the Asia Pacific Bridge Federation Championships has the largest number of teams. Sixteen teams from 11 countries will be vying for the title. The competing teams are from China, Thailand, Chinese Taipei (2), Indonesia (2), Japan, India, Australia (2), China Hong Kong (2), New Zealand, Singapore (2) and Korea.

The Championships start next Tuesday (11 June) and we wish our Seniors Team the very best of luck.
